I was walking home in a fall colored sky,
Red and orange it filled my eyes,
winds came up,
the clouds unsealed,
in a sunburst of light /
it was October revealed,
colors that summer concealed,
swirled in the air from the trees
and i thought to myself,
what a wonderful day,
so good to be alive and feeling that way.
And in that depth of colors,
a moment like no other,
unfolded there before the earth –
and-sky-began-to-sigh,
in a wonderful escapade
rain, rain, earth, wind and sky,
rain, rain, earth, wind and sky,
Between sun fall and moon-rise,
resting my eyes upon the distance,
a humble man to fall witness,
resting my eyes upon the distance,
a humble man to fall witness.
And in that depth of colors,
a moment like no other,
unfolded there,
before the earth and sky began to sigh,
in a wonderful escapade
